According to Pennsylvania's Act 101, Section 902,  Neshannock Township residents, businesses, and institutions are required to recycle based on the Township’s population.

Commercial Establishment*Aluminum, steel & bi-metal can, all colors of glass, #1 and #2 plastics, high grade office paper, newspaper, corrugated cardboard

*Some haulers may collect other items, in addition to what is required above.  Consult with your private hauler to see what collection optins are available to you.

The Township provides recycling bins for free to all for all residents.  Pick-up is available at the Neshannock Township Municipal Complex during regular business hours, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  

Leaf Collection

Neshannock Township's Road Department will pick up leaf waste during the dates below in the brown biodegradable bags sold at most grocery, department, dollar and hardware stores.

Only leaves are permitted in the bags. Bags are to be filled to the line and folded over. These are the strict orders of the site where the leaves are taken.

Collection Dates:
  •  April 1st through May 31st 
  • October 1st through November 30th   

Bags must be placed at curbside in the Township Right-of-Way. After the bags are at curbside, call the Township Administration offices at 724-658-4972 and give your address and how many bags are curbside to help coordinate the collection of your materials.
