Road Department

Neshannock Township’s Road Department is responsible for over 69 miles of paved roadways, or 138 lane miles. The work required for maintaining safe and acceptable streets and roads is completed by a road force of five employees reporting to the Director of Public Works. Road maintenance tasks include sign maintenance, berming, ditching, patching and complete overlays of the road surfaces, litter control, brush control, street sweeping, maintenance of Township owned drainage systems, guiderail upkeep, and snow control.

The Township does not maintain State roadways. State roads located within the Township include:

  • Pulaski Road
  • Old Pulaski Road
  • Plank Road (from Highland to Shenango)
  • Mercer Road
  • Maitland Lane
  • Mitchell Road (from Route 18 to Route 376).

The Township is responsible for all traffic signals located within its boundaries even though all of the signals are on State-owned highways.

Neshannock Township is part of PennDOT’s District 11 service area.
